How We Teach

Software doesn’t teach. Teachers do.

Our systems make sure nothing is missed.

What happens between lessons decides whether a lesson sticks. So the practice our tutors set is built on three ideas from learning science — and built the way the research says, not the way that feels easiest.

Retrieval practice

Answers are written out, not picked from a list. Choosing between options tests recognition; producing the answer tests whether you actually know it.

Interleaving

Practice mixes topics instead of drilling one to death. It feels harder in the moment, and that is precisely why it holds better later.

Spaced repetition

Questions are weighted by what has gone stale and what is still shaky, so revision time lands on the ideas that need it rather than the ones already safe.

Behind Every Lesson

What our tutors work with.

Your own tutor, all week

Every student works one-to-one with one of our tutors, in sessions spread across the week. There is no class to keep pace with, so each student starts from wherever they are.

Our first cohort is live!

A map of 4,000+ concepts

We’ve broken high-school math and science into more than 4,000 small concepts, recorded which ones each depends on, and linked every concept to questions that test it.

When a student is stuck, we can trace the problem back to the idea underneath.

Every session reviewed with AI

Sessions are recorded. Our AI analyses each recording alongside the tutor’s notes and writes up what came up: what landed, what didn’t, and where to go next.

So nothing from one lesson is lost before the next.

The Student’s Journey

Every session feeds the next.

  1. Step 1

    Tutoring session

A one-to-one session with the student’s own tutor.

  2. Step 2

    Tutor notes + AI analysis

The tutor adds notes, and our AI analyses the session recording alongside them.

  3. Step 3

    Weaker areas targeted

Our AI diagnoses the gaps, traces them back through the concept map, and targets the exact ideas that need work.

  4. Step 4

    Atomised remediation

Short, focused practice and remedial work on just those ideas, set before the next session.

…and back into the next session
